Insta360 Announces New Flow 2 Gimbal For Everyday Content Creators
A step below the Flow 2 Pro, the new Insta360 Flow 2 aims to provide smarter AI and more “everyday” content creation features.

Insta360 Flow 2
In the odd move to drop the Flow 2 after the Flow 2 Pro, Insta360 is still finding new ways to market this lesser version as a nice upgrade option for the right type of everyday content creator. Set to offer super smooth stabilization and 10 hours of battery life with a power bank, the Insta360 Flow 2 can certainly be an everyday gimbal option for the on-the-run content creator.
Let’s look at what the Insta360 Flow 2 has to offer and what content creators might like about it when compared to the Flow 2 Pro and other popular smartphone gimbal options on the market.
Introducing the Insta360 Flow 2
Being marketed as the “everyday AI gimbal” for the new class of hybrid content creators, this smartphone gimbal system will be lightweight and feature some nice tracking and support options. The Insta360 Flow 2 will also feature some more sophisticated technologies like Deep Tracking 4.0 with Pro Framing Grid, NFC One-Tap Pairing, and Active Zoom Tracking.
The Insta360 Flow 2 will come with some diverse shooting options as users will be able to use the built-in selfie stick for self-recording, or try out the sturdy metal tripod for their more standard static shots.
Here are some of the main features shared by Insta360 for the Flow 2:
- Super smooth stabilization
- NFC One-Tap Pairing
- Deep Track 4.0 with Pro Framing Grid
- Built-in selfie stick, metal tripod, spotlight
- 10-hour battery with power bank
- Insta360 Mic Air support for hands-free audio
- App-based Teleprompter for livestreams & demos
- Remote control via Apple Watch or second phone
- AI Editing Suite: Auto-trim, polish & export
- Android & iOS compatible
The Insta360 Flow 2 vs Insta360 Flow 2 Pro
As you might guess, the Insta360 Flow 2 will be a bit of a downgrade when compared to the Flow 2 Pro, as it won’t offer the same Selfie Mirror, Tracking Ring Light, Free Tilt Mode, Transparent Motor Design, or Apple DockKit Native Tracking.
Still, the Insta360 Flow 2 will still feature the built-in spotlight, teleprompter mode, and support for the Insta360 Mic Air. Plus, with new AI tracking capabilities available now, and perhaps more on the way, the Flow 2 and the Flow 2 Pro should continue to get better and smarter.
Price and Availability
The most obvious difference between the Flow 2 and the Flow 2 Pro will be the price. The Insta360 Flow 2 is set to be available in a standard bundle for $109, or with an AI Tracker Bundle for $129. The Flow 2 Pro will still retail for $159, or $179 for the AI Tracker Bundle.
